Industry impact

India's real-money gaming sector was valued at roughly $3.7 billion before the ban. The prohibition removed the domestic revenue model for every operator in the category at once.

Games24x7, parent of RummyCircle and My11Circle, began laying off around 500 employees — about 70% of its workforce.

Is RummyCircle still working?
The app exists but cash contests were discontinued. Games24x7 enabled wallet withdrawals so users could take out remaining balances.
Who owns Junglee Rummy?
Junglee Games, a subsidiary of Flutter Entertainment. Flutter ceased money-based gaming in India after the law changed.
Did any operator challenge the ban?
Gameskraft, which runs RummyCulture, publicly stated it would not challenge the law and suspended real-money operations.
Can these apps come back?
Not for money play while the Act stands. Several operators have shifted focus to free-to-play formats and markets outside India.
